Bradford City's new loan signing Luke Oliver is hoping to be handed his debut in the Bantams' League Two clash at Port Vale on Tuesday night.

Oliver, 6ft 7in, joined from Wycombe on loan last week and was an unused substitute in Saturday's 2-1 win at Rotherham.

Fellow central defender Zesh Rehman remains sidelined with a calf strain, so manager Peter Taylor could hand Oliver a role at Vale Park in place of either Steve Williams or Matt Clarke.

Striker Gavin Grant, another recent signing from Taylor's former club Wycombe, has been struggling with an ankle injury and could miss out again.

Taylor drafted in Millwall's Adam Bolder on loan for a month in time for him to play the full 90 minutes at Rotherham and the midfielder is expected to retain his place in the starting line-up.
