Fulham forward Clint Dempsey could make his first start for two months in Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Dempsey made his comeback from a serious knee injury with a substitute appearance against Juventus on Thursday night and the USA star is now in contention to play from the start.

Captain Danny Murphy faces a fitness test on a groin injury while Nicky Shorey, who was cup tied for the Juventus match, could replace Paul Konchesky at left-back.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 1.30pm.
