Manchester City defender Kolo Toure is hoping for a recall in Sunday's Premier League clash with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Toure had to settle for a place on the bench in the victory over Chelsea in the club's last outing but he could be recalled against the Black Cats after fully recovering from a knee injury.

Emmanuel Adebayor is absent through suspension and Martin Petrov is out injured as City aim to continue their push for a top four place.

Kick-off in the North-East is at 4pm.
