Team news for Tuesday night's Championship clash between Portsmouth and Burnley at Fratton Park.

Ritchie De Laet is an injury doubt ahead for Pompey.

The on-loan Manchester United defender suffered a groin strain during Saturday's 2-2 draw at Leeds and was replaced by Ricardo Rocha.

De Laet's absence would put more strain on a thin squad already missing Aaron Mokoena and Dave Kitson through suspension.

Centre-half Mokoena completes a two-match ban after collecting 10 bookings this season and striker Kitson serves the final game of his three-match suspension for his red card against Brighton.

Manager Steve Cotterill could only name five substitutes on Saturday and his options are still limited.

Danny Webber (cruciate) remains sidelined and Richard Hughes and Michael Brown will not play for the club again due to contract issues.

Burnley will hand a late fitness test to centre-half Clarke Carlisle.

Carlisle was expected to miss out after limping off at half-time in Saturday evening's goalless draw at Scunthorpe but after being assessed he could recover in time.

Boss Eddie Howe told the club's official website: "Clarke is not as serious as we first thought but we will have to wait and see if he is available."

If Carlisle fails to make it, Andre Bikey should take his place after replacing him against the Iron.

Striker Steven Thompson is available despite struggling with a niggling groin problem which will be checked by a specialist later this week.

Fellow forward Martin Paterson (thigh) has a chance of making the game but midfielder Chris McCann will miss out as he continues to recover from a long-term knee injury.
