Team news ahead of Wednesday night's Carling Cup second-round clash between Exeter and Liverpool at St James Park.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is set to ring the changes at Exeter.

Dalglish has confirmed he intends to give some fringe players a run-out in the tie, although he will be taking nothing for granted after the Reds' penalty shoot-out exit at the hands of Northampton in the third round last season.

The manager has a full squad to choose from, bar injured duo Glen Johnson and Steven Gerrard.

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale is expected to name his strongest side for the game.

Strikers Daniel Nardiello and Guillem Bauza both played their first 90 minutes of the season in the 1-0 defeat at Preston on Saturday.

They will again partner each other in attack after coming through that match unscathed.

Midfielder Liam Sercombe and striker Richard Logan are the Grecians' main injury worries and will be assessed before the match.

Striker John O'Flynn remains an absentee, while Tisdale will also have to do without defender Steve Tully.

He will serve his one-game suspension after the club chose not to appeal the red card he received in Saturday's game.
