Yeovil trio Jamie McAllister, Dan Burn and Byron Webster all came through the first leg of their League One play-off semi-final against Sheffield United unscathed on Friday night after returning from injury.

McAllister and Burn (both ankle) and Webster (hamstring) were back in the starting line-up at Bramall Lane and are expected to start again in the return on Monday afternoon when the Glovers attempt to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

Matt Dolan and Nathan Ralph missed the first leg due to knee injuries but could return to contention while Reuben Reid is hoping to be involved after returning from his loan spell at Plymouth.

Manager Gary Johnson has no other new injury or suspension worries as his side bid to reach their second play-off final.

Sheffield United are expected to be without Barry Robson.

The Scottish midfielder was taken to hospital for treatment after being forced out of Friday night’s 1-0 first-leg win at Bramall Lane due to a rib injury and the club are waiting for scan results.

Teenager Callum McFadzean replaced Robson and could start after scoring his first senior goal shortly after the interval.

Striker Jonathan Forte is hoping to overcome the hamstring strain which kept him out of the first leg and could also come into contention for a start while defender Tony McMahon continues to struggle with an Achilles injury.

Manager Chris Morgan has no other major injury or suspension concerns as the Blades look to defend their slender lead and reach the League One play-off final for the second successive season.

Gary Johnson may stick with the same side that lost 4-1 to Leyton Orient in midweek when Yeovil entertain United.

Tuesday’s defeat was the Glovers’ third in a row but Johnson hinted he might keep faith in his starting XI.

He said: “It would be quite easy at the moment for supporters, directors, management and press to lose faith in this group when you’ve been beaten 4-1 and it’s your third defeat on the trot.

“But you have to keep working, help the young players get through it and help the older players get a little bit fitter.”

Midfielder Korey Smith looks set to keep his place in the team after he provided the assist for Yeovil’s only goal in his first start for the club on Tuesday.

Midfielder Gavin Williams is available after he returned to training last week following a calf problem.

Sheffield United’s latest signing Dave Kitson could make his first start for the club.

Kitson, 32, joined the Blades on a short-term deal until December 31 after leaving Portsmouth last month and has made two substitute appearances so far.

Chris Porter is another forward pushing for a recall to the starting line-up and manager Danny Wilson must decide whether to stick with Richard Cresswell and Nick Blackman up front or shake things up following three successive league draws.

Skipper Michael Doyle, who signed a new three-year deal at the club on Thursday, and fellow midfielder Ryan Flynn sit out the final games of their respective three-game bans.

Wilson has no new injury or suspension worries as his side chase their first league win in four matches.

Yeovil assistant manager Nathan Jones will not participate in a playing capacity.

Manager Terry Skiverton revealed his right-hand man had suffered a broken shoulder and will be out of action for the next few weeks.

It is believed Jones suffered the injury in pre-season but battled on to feature in the Glovers’ first three league fixtures.

The void left by Jones’ absence could be filled by Curtis Haynes-Brown who has yet to start due to illness.

Skiverton has no other concerns and the return to fitness of Kieran Agard and Kerrea Gilbert will provide him with more options.

Both missed the last league game against Walsall but are back in training and should at least make the squad.

Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson will hand late fitness tests to midfield pair Nick Montgomery and Lee Williamson.

Williamson is struggling with a groin strain sustained in the midweek defeat at Everton, while Montgomery missed the Carling Cup tie due to a stomach bug.

But another midfielder, Ryan Flynn (calf), returned to action at Goodison Park and is in contention to start. He has been sidelined since making his debut on the opening day of the season.

Striker Chris Porter (dead-leg) is also pushing for a return to the side after stepping off the bench in last week’s draw at Tranmere and featuring again at Everton.

Wilson has no other new injury or suspension worries, but midfielder Kevin McDonald, a free transfer from Burnley this summer, remains sidelined with an ankle injury and striker Ched Evans (ankle) is several weeks away from returning.
