Team news ahead of Monday's League Two clash between Crewe and Morecambe at Alexandra Stadium.

Ajay Leitch-Smith and Ashley Westwood are poised to retain their places in Steve Davis' starting line-up when Crewe host the Shrimps.

Striker Leitch-Smith and utility man Westwood were restored to the Alex side to face Bristol Rovers by Davis following the Boxing Day defeat at Bradford and it proved to be an inspired move.

Leitch-Smith netted his fifth goal of the season with 70 seconds gone to set the Railwaymen on their way to a 5-2 victory, while Westwood produced a controlled display in midfield.

Forward Shaun Miller serves the final game of his three-match ban for a straight red card in the 1-1 draw with Crawley last month.

Victory at the Memorial Stadium was Crewe's first in four League Two matches.

Kevin Ellison is hoping to celebrate his new contract at Morecambe with a return to the Shrimps' starting line-up.

Ellison has been nursing a back injury in recent weeks and failed to make an anticipated return for the New Year's Eve clash with Burton.

The nine-goal forward has since penned a one-year extension to his present deal at the Globe Arena that was due to expire in the summer.

Ellison aside, boss Jim Bentley has no new injury worries, meaning Chris McCready is set to continue in defence having extended his own stay on the Lancashire coast by another two years.

"Both players have been brilliant for us this season and I am delighted to see them agree new deals," said Bentley on Morecambe's official website.

"It is a great start to 2012 for us and really helps in the forward planning we are trying to do here."
