Team news ahead Saturday's League Two clash between Macclesfield and Cheltenham Town at Moss Rose Ground.

New signing Dwayne Mattis has added to Macclesfield's lengthening injury woes.

Mattis marked his Silkmen debut against AFC Wimbledon in midweek with a goal, but the midfielder later limped out of the 2-1 defeat with ankle ligament damage that will see him sidelined for around a fortnight.

Defender Paul Morgan (ankle) and forward George Donnelly (calf) were also withdrawn due to injury against the Dons and face late fitness tests.

Hernia victims Sam Wedgbury and Lewis Chalmers remain out, with the midfield duo four and three weeks away from their respective returns to action.

Forward Ben Tomlinson will be missing for two more weeks due to a thigh problem and Ross Draper is a long-term victim with his broken metatarsal.

Centre-back Nat Brown serves the second game of a three-match ban, although midfielder Colin Daniel (back) has returned to training and could come into boss Gary Simpson's plans.

Cheltenham will continue to be without centre-back Steve Elliott.

Elliott missed last Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Bristol Rovers with a calf strain and the veteran defender will not recover in time to face the Silkmen, with Keith Lowe set to deputise once more.

Midfielder Luke Summerfield is expected to play a part, however, despite picking up a minor knock during the week.

Manager Mark Yates could make changes to his starting line-up following the Robins' first loss in League Two since October.

New signing Jermaine McGlashan could be in line for a full debut after arriving from Aldershot.

The winger came off the bench during the defeat to Rovers.
