Team news ahead of Tuesday night's Championship clash between Middlesbrough and Doncaster at The Riverside.

Middlesbrough will welcome back Joe Bennett.

The full-back has missed the last two games through suspension after receiving 10 yellow cards, but he will now return to the squad and could start.

Midfielder Faris Haroun shook off a hamstring injury to feature in the 1-0 win at Derby on Saturday which kept their play-off hopes alive and he should again be fine to play.

Goalkeeper Danny Coyne has returned to training following a calf injury which has kept him out since the end of January, but he will not feature.

Skipper Matthew Bates has had surgery to repair knee ligament damage suffered at the begninning of the month and is joined by Rhys Williams (ankle ligaments) on the sidelines.

Relegated Doncaster will continue to be without El-Hadji Diouf.

Diouf, who was arrested and released on bail following an incident at a Manchester nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning, is still a fortnight away from a return to action due to a hamstring strain.

Pascal Chimbonda is available following a similar problem, while fellow defender Shelton Martis (groin) is targeting Saturday's trip to Coventry.

Habib Beye is suspended for the next two matches after his red card in Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Portsmouth, meaning Sam Hird or Chimbonda could come in at the back.

Winger Kyle Bennett, an unused substitute at the weekend, is pushing for a start after overcoming a persistent toe injury.

Midfield duo Martin Woods (knee) and Brian Stock (groin) remain sidelined alongside forward Habib Bamogo (hamstring).
