Team news ahead of Tuesday night's Championship clash between Brighton and Watford at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton manager Gus Poyet will choose his starting line-up from an unchanged squad.

Poyet has no new injury or suspension worries but could be tempted to make changes following his side's 6-0 rout at West Ham.

Midfielder Liam Bridcutt returned to the starting line-up at Upton Park after a two-game ban and will hope to retain his place, while winger Craig Noone stepped off the bench following his return from a hamstring injury and is pushing for a recall.

Striker Craig Mackail-Smith is another player hoping to return to the side after he was dropped to the bench at West Ham.

Defender Tommy Elphick remains sidelined with an Achilles injury.

Poyet's side have slipped five points adrift of the play-offs after three straight defeats and will be chasing their first win in six matches.

Martin Taylor is expected to be fit for Watford as fellow centre-back Adrian Mariappa serves a one-match suspension.

Taylor was forced off at half-time in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Hull struggling with a facial injury which was restricting his vision.

Mariappa, who had missed the last four weeks with an ankle injury, came on at half-time as a replacement but was soon leaving the pitch again just 20 minutes later having been shown two quickfire yellow cards.

Should Taylor be declared okay to resume his partnership with Nyron Nosworthy at the heart of defence then Dale Bennett is likely to be included among the substitutes as cover.

Bennett could be joined on the bench by striker Gavin Massey following the completion of his loan stay with League One Colchester.
