Team news ahead of Wednesday night's Scottish Premier League clash between Kilmarnock and St Mirren at Rugby Park.

Dean Shiels is a doubt for Killie after picking up a chest infection.

The PFA Scotland player of the year candidate trained for a spell on Tuesday and he will be assessed before the game.

Danny Buijs has recovered from a hamstring problem but might have to wait for his comeback. Paul Heffernan (groin), Zdenek Kroca (knee), Manuel Pascali (broken leg) and Garry Hay (knee) remain on the sidelines.

St Mirren defender Marc McAusland is suspended for the trip to Killie.

McAusland was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in the 1-0 home win over Hibernian on Sunday.

Defender David Barron is still out with a knee injury.
