It will be a day of records on Saturday as both Borussia Dortmund and opponents Freiburg look to etch their name in the history books.
Victory for the Bundesliga champions would break a league record for the number of points in a single season, a figure they can equal with a draw.
A draw would also be worth a new league record of 28 games unbeaten for Dortmund, while it would also satisfy Freiburg, who would go a club record 11th match without defeat in the Bundesliga if the match ends even.
However, Freiburg coach Christian Streich says record or no record, his players have already achieved something sensational.
"All of my players here have done something special in the past four months," he said.
"They can be proud of it and they will never forget it for as long as they live.
"They can also be proud about how many people they have made happy."
Indeed, avoiding relegation seemed impossible when Streich took over after the winter break with the side having picked up just 13 points from their first 17 games of the season with just three wins.
Since then, Freiburg's form would be good enough for a place in Europe with just three defeats and 27 points making them safe with three weeks of the season to go.
Even Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is impressed and cannot wait to meet the orchestrator of that rise on Saturday.
"I am really looking forward to getting to know Mr Streich," he said at the pre-match press conference.
"You get the feeling he has promoted half of his youth team into a relegation battle which does not leave you any margin for error, so what he has achieved is extraordinary."
Klopp will also be looking forward to meeting his own club's president Dr Reinhard Rauball since he will present Dortmund with their second consecutive Bundesliga title on Saturday.
Then the celebrations will begin in earnest, for both clubs.
