Uwe Rosler could hand debuts to defender Lee Hodson and striker Marcello Trotta.

Northern Ireland international Hodson and Italy Under-19 frontman Trotta signed loan deals at Griffin Park on Thursday, moving from Watford and Fulham respectively, and are eligible to feature against the Blades.

However, Rosler may choose to stick with the line-up that saw his side earn an impressive win on the road at Swindon in midweek.

On-loan Everton left-back Jake Bidwell, 19, will retain his place in Rosler’s starting XI in what is scheduled to be his last appearance for the Bees under his current deal. But Toffees boss David Moyes has hinted he could allow the youngster to remain at Griffin Park.

“We’re delighted with Jake being there,” he told the Hounslow Chronicle. “It’s good for Jake to get League football. He’s a great boy, committed, diligent in his work and I think at the moment it’s a good stepping stone for him.”

Farid El Alagui (knee), Leon Legge (groin) and Tom Adeyemi (hamstring) are expected to miss out.

Sheffield United have been dealt a double blow as both Ryan Flynn and Shaun Miller have been ruled out through injury.

Winger Flynn and striker Miller, who has scored three goals in the Blades’ last two matches, are both sidelined with calf injuries sustained in the midweek draw with Crewe.

In their absence, strikers John Cofie and Richard Cresswell, plus midfielder David McAllister will vie for a place in the starting line-up.

Manager Danny Wilson has no new injury or suspension problems, but defenders Tony McMahon and Matt Hill are both rated very doubtful due to respective hamstring injuries that have kept them out of the previous two matches.

Forward Dave Kitson remains sidelined with his hamstring problem, while goalkeeper Mark Howard (thigh) and defender Lecsinal Jean-Francois (knee) are long-term casualties.

Shaleum Logan is in line to return to the Brentford squad.

The defender has been out for three weeks with a hamstring injury but manager Uwe Rosler expects him to be fit to challenge Adam Thompson, who has extended his loan spell from Watford, for the right-back spot.

Striker Clayton Donaldson is set to return to the starting line-up after Gary Alexander completed his move to Crawley this week, while winger Sam Saunders should also be recalled after being rested in midweek.

Simon Moore is likely to continue in goal after another clean sheet despite regular number one Richard Lee having recovered from illness.

Skipper Kevin O’Connor is still out with a foot injury and fellow midfielder Marcus Bean has an ankle problem.

Sheffield United defenders Harry Maguire and Matt Lowton are back in contention for the game following suspension.

Central defender Maguire and full-back Lowton both served one-game bans in the midweek defeat at Walsall after their dismissals last weekend against Oldham.

Manager Danny Wilson drafted in both Blackpool’s Matt Hill and John Egan from Sunderland on loan in time for them to make their debuts on Tuesday night and must decide whether to retain one or both of them at Griffin Park.

Wilson will also be without left-back Lecsinel Jean-Francois as the Haiti international damaged his cruciate knee ligament against Oldham last Saturday and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Marcus Williams has made a timely return from his injury and could return to the starting line-up in Jean-Francois’ absence.

Midfield playmaker Kevin McDonald remains sidelined with the hamstring injury that has ruled him out of the last four matches.
