Tranmere v Crawley preview

David Amoo is in line to make his Tranmere debut.

Amoo penned a six-month deal at Prenton Park on Wednesday following his release from Preston.

The former Liverpool youngster’s chances of featuring in attack are enhanced by the continued absence of Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (broken metatarsal) and Abdulai Bell-Baggie (lateral knee ligament).

Skipper James Wallace also remains on the sidelines as he continues his rehabilitation from medial knee ligament damage.

Forward Michael O’Halloran and defender Donervorn Daniels are both expected to retain their places in Moore’s starting XI after securing extensions to their respective loans from Bolton and West Brom.

Rovers are chasing a fourth consecutive league triumph but must bounce back from last weekend’s 5-0 FA Cup exit at the hands of Derby.

Dannie Bulman is set to return to Crawley’s starting line-up for the trip to the league leaders.

Bulman is in line to replace Hope Akpan in the centre of midfield after the former Everton youngster this week completed a move back to the Premier League with Reading.

Centre-halves Kyle McFadzean – who has also been linked with a January move away – and Claude Davis missed last weekend’s FA Cup defeat by the Royals and remain doubtful.

McFadzean, out since November due to a virus, is more likely to return against Carlisle next weekend while Davis is still struggling with a knee problem.

Young striker Jonte Smith can return to the squad after he was cup-tied at the weekend.
