Barnet v Fleetwood preview

Edgar Davids will be missing for the hosts after the Bees’ player-manager was sent off against Accrington on Saturday and serves a two-match ban for what was his second red card of the season, the first also coming against Stanley in back November.

On-loan MK Dons defender Tom Flanagan came on for his debut towards the end of the 3-2 defeat so he could now make the starting line-up.

Midfielder John Oster and striker Craig Beattie returned after spells out with hamstring injuries at the weekend and should feature again barring any adverse reaction.

But Steve Kabba remains sidelined by a knee problem and fellow frontman Ricky Holmes’ season is over due to a foot injury.

The visitors will be without Paul McKenna after the midfielder was sent off during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Plymouth having picked up two yellow cards and will now miss the game against the Bees through suspension.

The Hull loanee was also dismissed for his parent club against Doncaster in August so will serve a two-match ban.

Cod Army manager Graham Alexander may also be made to do without forward Steven Gillespie and defender Dean Howell.

Gillespie has missed the last three games with a hamstring strain, while Howell has been ruled out of the last two matches with a leg injury.

Both are major doubts again against Davids’ side as the Cod Army look to end a poor run which has seen their play-off hopes dented after picking up just one win from their last seven games.
