Wes Brown: Available for Sunderland after red card was rescinded

Wes Brown is set to line up for Sunderland at Aston Villa after having his red card in last week's defeat at Stoke rescinded by a Football Association appeals panel.

Black Cats boss Gus Poyet can also call on Lee Cattermole and Andrea Dossena, both of whom have completed three-game bans as a result of their recent sendings-off at Hull.

Vito Mannone is set to keep his place in goal as Keiren Westwood struggles to recover from a slight knock, while Carlos Cuellar is still sidelined with a hip injury.

Paul Lambert must decide whether to restore forwards Gabriel Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann to the Aston Villa starting line-up.

The pair came on as second-half substitutes in Monday's 2-2 draw with local rivals West Brom after recent injuries along with midfielder Fabian Delph.

All three are available for the Black Cats' visit, as is left-back Antonio Luna after a recent hamstring complaint.
