Adebayor a doubt to face United

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is a doubt for Sunday's game against Manchester United because of a groin injury.

Midfielder Christian Eriksen (ankle), defender Danny Rose (toe) and striker Harry Kane (back) are all out.

Manager Villas-Boas is expected to recall the likes of Jermain Defoe, Kyle Walker and Paulinho, who were rested for Thursday's win over Tromso.

David Moyes faces a dilemma over how much to rotate his Manchester United squad after a stunning 5-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

He is waiting to see if Robin van Persie will be available following a groin injury, but the performances of Wayne Rooney and Shinji Kagawa in Germany were so good that he will not feel under pressure to rush the Dutchman back.

Marouane Fellaini could slot back into midfield after serving a European suspension against Leverkusen, while Nemanja Vidic may return in defence.
