Fernando Torres: Set to replace the injured Samuel Eto'o

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is expected to ring the changes against Southampton on Sunday after blaming tiredness for a poor performance against Basel in midweek.

Samuel Eto'o had to be stretchered off with a groin injury and is likely to be replaced in the starting line-up by Fernando Torres.

Ashley Cole, Eden Hazard and Juan Mata could also be recalled, but David Luiz is not ready to return from a knee problem and midfielder Marco van Ginkel remains a long-term absentee.

Dejan Lovren is expected to return at the heart of Southampton's defence after missing the loss to Arsenal due to illness.

Artur Boruc will remain in goal despite his mistake at Emirates Stadium and Mauricio Pochettino is unlikely to deviate too much from a largely settled side.

Guly do Prado is absent after undergoing a knee operation, but Jack Cork has recovered from an ankle problem and Gaston Ramirez is back in contention after a late return from international duty kept him out of the Arsenal game.
