Swansea City will be without summer signing Wilfried Bony for their Premier League clash away to Manchester City on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.
The striker sustained the problem during the Swans' 1-0 home loss to Valencia in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Welsh outfit are already without striker Michu because of an ankle injury and this means that manager Michael Laudrup may have to deploy on-loan Getafe striker Alvaro Vasquez up front on his own.
Right-back Angel Rangel suffered a calf problem against Valencia and is also likely to miss out on Sunday, however, Wayne Routledge should return from a calf injury.
Meanwhile, Man City should be able to recall defender Vincent Kompany from a thigh injury.
The centre-back picked up the problem during his side's 3-1 home win against Everton on October 5, but has resumed full training since the middle of the week.
If Kompany does indeed make his comeback, then he is likely to partner Martin Demichelis in central defence after Matija Nastasic was ruled out for three weeks with a calf injury.
However, David Silva, Stevan Jovetic and Jack Rodwell are all recovering from injuries, while goalkeeper Joe Hart is expected to go back to the bench after playing in the Champions League on Wednesday.
