Swindon boss Mark Cooper will be without midfielder Alex Pritchard for the clash with Oldham.

The on-loan Tottenham man picked up his 10th yellow card of the season last time out and will begin a two-match suspension.

Midfielder Ryan Mason missed the 1-1 draw with Walsall in midweek after a muscle spasm forced him off in the first half of last weekend’s victory over Shrewsbury. He will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Cooper will also check on defender Jay McEveley, who is struggling with a knee injury.

Oldham boss Lee Johnson could be forced into a defensive reshuffle for the trip to Swindon.

The Latics manager looks set to have two different defenders from the four used against Wolves in midweek with James Tarkowski set to join Brentford and Genseric Kusunga succumbed to a hamstring injury again.

That could mean a full debut for Adam Lockwood, who made his first appearance off the bench in Tuesday’s 3-0 loss.

David Worrall is likely to come back into the equation as he missed the Wolves game with Johnson exercising caution over the groin problem which has kept him out for most of the season, while fellow midfielder James Wesolowski is a doubt with a shoulder problem. New signing Rhys Turner could be involved.

Swindon will assess Jay McEveley’s knee injury.

Manager Kevin MacDonald has said he wants the former Blackburn left-back to come through a training session before returning to action having missed the 0-0 draw with Notts County. Whether that is possible in time for the Latics clash remains to be seen.

And the former Aston Villa coach says he will not let the top-of-the-table clash with Doncaster on Monday alter his team selections against Lee Johnson’s struggling side. But MacDonald could be without Tommy Miller, who is struggling with a dead leg.

One player who will not be involved is Troy Archibald-Henville who has not long returned to training after a knee injury and the play-offs, should Swindon need them, look set to be a realistic date for the former Exeter defender’s comeback.

The Robins head into this match in second place in League One, five points behind Monday’s opponents Doncaster.

Oldham welcome back striker Matt Smith.

Smith, the four-goal hero of Latics’ run to the fifth round of this season’s FA Cup, has not featured in the last two matches after suffering severe bruising to his knee in the 1-0 defeat to Tranmere but is now back in full training.

Bobby Reid is pushing for his Oldham debut having signed on loan from Bristol City earlier this week, while former Leeds and Swansea full-back Federico Bessone could feature against the club he left earlier this season after completing a move to Boundary Park on Thursday afternoon.

Boss Lee Johnson has also added rookie defenders Glenn Belezika and Joe Cooper to his travelling party. The duo impressed for the reserves against Hull in midweek.

A combination of postponements and their cup run means the County Ground clash will be the first of nine games in 30 days as Oldham look to secure League One safety.

Caretaker manager Paul Bodin takes charge of already-relegated Swindon for the first time.

Bodin, who enjoyed two playing spells with the Robins between 1988-91 and 1992-96, was on Friday promoted from Under-18s manager to take the reins for the final two matches in the wake of Paul Hart’s departure as interim boss.

Centre-back Andy Frampton is set to miss out against the Latics having been forced off after 37 minutes against Sheffield Wednesday on Monday with an ankle injury.

Goalkeeper David Lucas (back) and defender Milan Misun (knee) continue to miss out, and have been joined in the treatment room by youngsters Will Evans and Nathan Thompson (both ankle), the latter of whom has a chance of recovering in time for this weekend.

Bodin’s son, Billy, has forced his way into contention of late and played the final 20 minutes at Hillsborough. The forward, 19, could be in line for further involvement this weekend and possibly his first start for the club.

Paul Dickov is facing a major injury crisis.

Left-back Cedric Evina hobbled off with an ankle injury after just 23 minutes of the 1-1 draw at home to Walsall on Easter Monday.

He could now miss out and with fellow left-back Paul Black (abdomen) unlikely to feature again this season following recent minor surgery, Dickov is desperately short of defensive options.

Kieran Lee (hamstring), Reuben Hazell (knee), Ryan Brooke (ankle) and Oumare Tounkara (ankle) are all carrying injuries and their fitness will be assessed.

Winger Filipe Morais, who is out of contract in the summer, misses the final two matches of the season after being sent off against Walsall, while fellow wideman Kirk Millar is also banned.
