Wycombe v Dag & Red preview

Wycombe have been handed a fitness boost ahead of their clash with Dagenham after Matt McClure returned to training.

The striker has missed Blues’ last three games with a hamstring injury and now looks set to be back in contention for the Adams Park match.

Centre-backs Leon Johnson and Anthony Stewart remain doubts because of hamstring complaints but manager Gareth Ainsworth revealed his physio team are working hard to get the pair available as quickly as possibly.

Paris Cowan-Hall is still on the road to recovery from an ankle injury and has not returned to full training yet while Gary Doherty, Charles Dunne and Tommy Fletcher are long-term absentees for the Blues.

Dagenham look set to continue without three first-team regulars when they visit Wycombe.

Zavon Hines (knee), Rhys Murphy (groin) and Luke Wilkinson (ankle) have all missed out in recent weeks and are not expected to be fit in time for Saturday, although Murphy is closing in on his return.

On-loan West Ham winger Blair Turgott made his debut in last Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Oxford and he should retain his place as the Daggers look to keep their play-off dreams alive.

Wayne Burnett’s side are five points adrift of seventh-placed Oxford after a run of eight games without defeat.
