Doncaster v Notts C preview

admin

Doncaster will be without Nathan Tyson when they host Notts County in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Striker Tyson has missed the last two matches with a calf strain and is not expected to be back in training until later this week.

Boss Paul Dickov named an unchanged side for only the second time this season on Saturday as Rovers knocked his former club Oldham out of the FA Cup.

Dean Furman, Harry Forrester and Marc De Val Fernandez are among the options should Dickov decide to shuffle his pack for the quarter-final clash.

The Magpies have almost a fully fit squad for their trip to the Keepmoat Stadium.

Only long-term injury victim Jimmy Spencer – who suffered a serious knee injury in the summer – is out for Shaun Derry’s men.

The striker is sidelined for the whole of the season following a cruciate knee ligament injury he sustained in their first pre-season friendly.

They beat Scunthorpe 2-1 in the quarter-final but they have won just once in their last six games in all competitions.
