Burton Albion v Bury preview

The Brewers are set to be without striker Billy Kee for this weekend’s visit of the Shakers.

Kee has been hampered by a thigh injury so far this season and he might be unavailable for the next three matches while Albion attempt to unearth exactly what the issue is.

“We can’t get to the bottom of it,” said Burton boss Gary Rowett. “But it’s nothing too serious.”

Zander Diamond is Rowett’s other injury absentee but he is progressing well after damaging a ligament in his foot during pre-season. The centre-half is two weeks away from a return to full training and is on schedule with his recovery.

The two latest recruits at Bury could make their debuts when they travel to the West Midlands.

Midfielder Tommy Miller and defender William Edjenguele became the club’s 21st and 22nd new signings this season when they penned terms this week and both could slot straight into Kevin Blackwell’s XI.

Miller, formerly of Sunderland and Ipswich, is expected to come into the middle of the park, although not for teenager Jordon Sinnott, who scored and impressed in the 3-0 win over Accrington.

Edjenguele signed on Thursday and may partner former Coventry team-mate Nathan Cameron in the back four as he returns from a one-match ban.
