Glovers drill five past Pilgrims

Reuben Reid fired a hat-trick as Yeovil Town demolished 10-man Plymouth Argyle 5-0 in a friendly at Dorchester on Saturday.

Reid latched on to James Hayter's flick-on to open the scoring before Keanu Marsh-Brown, a team-mate of Reid's at Oldham last term, burst through Argyle's fragile backline and fired beyond Jake Cole.

A slip from defender Darren Purse gifted Reid his second and a nightmare half was concluded for the Pilgrims when Nick Chadwick received a straight red card for elbowing Byron Webster.

Hayter got his name on the scoresheet with a stooping header after the interval, leaving Reid to complete his treble in sublime fashion by curling a shot into the top corner.
