Dagenham sink Cheltenham

Jamie Cureton could have put Dagenham into the lead after 13 minutes, but he slotted wide following Ashley Hemmings’ through-ball so it remained goalless until the break.

It only took nine minutes into the second period for the home team to take the lead when Craig Braham-Barrett caught Andre Boucaud inside the box.

Cureton stepped up and although Trevor Carson saved his spot-kick, the experienced forward fired home the rebound to net for the first time since November 29.

Cheltenham tried to respond immediately and earned a penalty of their own when Mark Cousins was adjudged to have brought down Jack Dunn inside the box.

Dunn dusted himself down and put the spot-kick away to level the scores in the 62nd minute.

The scoring wasn’t finished there, though, as Hemmings beat two Robins before emphatically smashing past Carson.

The Daggers pushed for a third and Alex Jakubiak grabbed it in stoppage time as he fired home to give Wayne Burnett’s team all three points.
