Pawel Abbott redeemed himself after a penalty miss and netted the winner as Darlington beat Wycombe 1-0 the 96.6 TFM Darlington Arena.

His spot-kick after Richie Foran was fouled by Leon Johnson was well saved by Frank Fielding.

But Abbott's came back to score after 76 minutes.

Joe Colbeck set up Abbott to hit a first-time shot from 20 yards, the ball flying under the crossbar for his fifth goal of the season.

But a lively Wycombe side were in it all the way and hit the post in each half. After 15 minutes Matt Bloomfield struck the base of the post from 10 yards from Gary Holt's pass.

Then 10 minutes from time the lively Sergio Torres side-footed against the post with goalkeeper David Stockdale beaten.

And in stoppage time Wycombe missed another chance when Torres saw a goal-bound effort blocked by a packed defence.
