MK Dons have moved six points clear at the top of League Two despite being held to a 1-1 draw at home to struggling Brentford on Friday night.
On a freezing evening of almost relentless Dons pressure at stadium:mk, Kevin Gallen's 68th-minute goal salvaged a point after Alan Connell had stunned the hosts with a first-half opener.
A Ben Starosta cross saw Lee Thorpe nod back across goal and fellow striker Connell stabbed past Willy Gueret from eight yards.
The second half continued in the same vane with the Dons dominating possession and territory as a gritty Brentford defended in numbers and the equaliser finally came in the 68th minute, skipper Keith Andrews crossing from the by-line for Gallen to side-foot home.
Paul Ince's Dons now hold a six-point lead over second-placed Hereford having played a game more, while Brentford lie 16th.
