Misfiring Arsenal were booed off after they failed to find the net for a fourth straight Premier League game in a 0-0 home draw with Fulham.

It was Fulham who created the first opening when Andy Johnson latched onto a chipped pass and dragged a shot from the edge of the area wide.

Simon Davies then beat the Arsenal offside trap, but fired his shot over the crossbar from just inside the box.

Then on 10 minutes, only a brilliant reaction save from Mark Schwarzer stopped Robin van Persie from putting Arsenal in front with a bullet header after Andrei Arshavin's weighted chip across the six-yard box.

Clint Dempsey drilled a long-range effort wide and Arshavin fired an angled shot over in an open game.

After the break, van Persie's glancing header hit the outside of the post and Schwarzer kept Abou Diaby's downward header out with his legs.
