Leicester increased the pressure on Reading boss Brendan Rodgers as they won 1-0 to ensure the Royals' dreadful home form continued.

Reading were on top for the majority of the game at The Madejski but saw Simon Church waste several chances as Martyn Waghorn gave Nigel Pearson's side all three points.

Leicester move into the play-off places with this stolen win while the Royals remain in the drop zone and without a home win in the Championship for nine months.

Church, Jobi McAnuff and Grzegorz Rasiak all missed chances before McAnuff hit the upright and then saw his follow up deflect wide off Ryan McGivern.

But it was Leicester who took the lead when Matt Oakley's corner was met by Waghorn (45) who flicked a header over Adam Federici.

Church missed another chance in the second half before Matty Fryatt missed a one-on-one with Federici.
