Bradford hit back to secure a creditable 1-1 draw with high-flying Bournemouth in a hard-fought battle at Valley Parade on Saturday.
The Cherries, who went into the match with a two-point lead at the top, took the lead in the 32nd minute when Anton Robinson found Brett Pitman unmarked in the penalty area and the latter scored with a low right-footed shot.
But Bradford came back well and deservedly equalised four minutes before the break when Gareth Evans ran on to a through pass from Lee Bullock and kept his cool to slot the ball home left-footed.
Bournemouth had the better chances in the second half, but Robinson, Liam Feeney and Lee Bradbury all fired wide when well placed.
Bradford almost snatched victory four minutes from the end, but visiting goalkeeper Shwan Jalal managed to block Bullock's header on the goalline.
