Michael Pook's all-action display enabled Cheltenham to recover a three-goal deficit and draw 3-3 with Darlington in League Two on Tuesday.
Pook scored one and made the other two, as the Robins dominated the final hour of an entertaining game at Whaddon Road.
Darlington were two-up inside four minutes, as Cheltenham twice left Tadgh Purcell with too much space. The Irish striker curled a neat right-foot finish past Scott Brown when the ball broke kindly in the box, then forced a deflected own goal off Robins' Ashley Eastham.
Things got worse for the home side on 26 minutes, when limping skipper Shane Duff scuffed an attempted back pass, leaving Senegalese striker Mor Diop with the easiest of finishes.
Pook pulled one back before the interval, when Quakers' keeper Shane Redmond made a hash of his floated right-wing cross.
A home fightback became a genuine possibility immediately after the break, when top scorer Justin Richards beat two defenders, before lashing home from close range. Medy Elito squared things up when he met Pook's 66th-minute cross with a clever near-post flick.
