Paul Buckle's Torquay ended the season on a eight-game unbeaten run after holding champions Notts County to a goalless home draw on Saturday.

Emergency loan keeper Steve Collis helped make it a club record 691 minutes without conceding a goal, making a superb diving stop to palm away Delroy Facey's volley in the League Two clash at Plainmoor.

More than 1,750 County supporters made the trip in party mood following their table-topping campaign and it made for a rousing atmosphere.

But they were indebted to keeper Kasper Schmeichel for keeping the hosts out, twice denying United's top-scorer Elliot Benyon and also dealing superbly with a fierce Kevin Nicholson shot.

Benyon almost won it late on, beating the offside trap, but Schmeichel did brilliantly to keep him out yet again.
