Tyson delivers ~knock-out blow

Forest played much of the game with 10 men after the first-half dismissal of James Perch not long after Brett Ormerod’s opener, and Poul Hubertz brought the play-off chasing Cobblers level only for Tyson to win it.

Ormerod gave Forest a ninth minute lead with a clinical finish, but Perch was sent off in the 20th minute for a challenge on Hubertz.

Northampton took full advantage when Hubertz equalised with a superb overhead kick in the 32nd minute for his 11th of the season.

But Forest were the better side in the second half as Sammy Clingan hit the bar before they regained the lead in the 63rd minute when keeper Mark Bunn was adjudged to have brought down Tyson and he put away the resulting spot-kick.
