Zebroski leaves it late

George Porter should have given the home side the lead in the ninth minute but he fired into the side netting following Ashley Hemmings’ through ball.

James Loveridge came closest for County during the first half as three minutes before the break he drifted inside but Mark Cousins held his shot comfortably.

Joe Pigott curled an effort against the woodwork five minutes into the second period before Daggers substitute Billy Bingham fizzed a free-kick just wide.

Ade Yusuff wanted a penalty in the 62nd minute when he appeared to be tripped by Andrew Hughes but referee Tim Robinson waved away appeals.

And a minute later Pigott side footed over before substitute Jamie Cureton forced Joe Day to tip over.

From the resulting corner Cureton worked a yard of space and unleashed an effort against the crossbar as Daggers pressed for a winner.

Their momentum was halted though, when captain Abu Ogogo was shown a straight red for clashing with Lee Minshull on the floor.

And just as the clock hit 90 minutes, Zebroski made County’s man advantage count by heading in Andy Sandell’s cross to give Justin Edinburgh’s team all three points.
