Stuart McCall cast a frustrated figure after Motherwell's poor home form continued with a 1-1 draw against Dundee.

McCall's side had lost their three previous Clydesdale Bank Premier League games at Fir Park and they had to battle back from a deficit to claim a share of the spoils, drawing level when Michael Higdon scored in first-half injury-time.

"We just can't buy a win at home at the moment. I don't think we played as well today as we have done in recent home games and yet we get a point for it.

"We just need to score the first goal at home. We had a lot of possession and opportunities where we probably should go ahead, and they score on the break.

"You could feel a little bit of anxiety maybe. If we had come in (behind) at half-time it would have been tough so to get the goal was good.

"The second half we huffed and puffed and I think you have got to credit Dundee. They had something to hold on to and they certainly held on to it."

Higdon had a goal disallowed three minutes from time for offside, and McCall added: "That's just the way things are going. I'm not making excuses. We could have probably won 2-1, a scrappy game, and come in and we would have been pleased just to get a victory at home.

"I thought in the last 20 minutes, with the exertions of Wednesday night, we looked a little bit leggy. But it's another day slipped by without a home victory.

"Frustrating is the word. We did okay but okay wasn't enough to win us the game."
