Bert van Marwijk has signed a new deal that should keep him as Holland coach for another four years.

Oranje boss will remain at helm for the 2016 World Cup

Holland boss Bert van Marwijk has signed a new deal that should keep him as coach for another four years, allowing him to manage the national side in the 2016 World Cup.

The Dutchman's contract was set to expire during Euro 2012, but he can now try and achieve the country's goal of lifting the world title in Brazil in four years' time.

The ex-Feyenoord manager, who took the Holland job in 2008 and led the team to the World Cup final in South Africa two years later, has declared that he loves being in charge of the Oranje.

"I have often said I am very happy with the Dutch FA (KNVB)," Van Marwijk told the federation's official website.

"If I have a good feeling [about staying], I think it is okay to remain here for a long time."

It has been reported that there is a clause in the new deal which would allow Van Marwijk to speak to a European club if he wishes and the 59-year-old admits that he will probably take advantage of this rule if it will benefit himself.

"The KNVB wants security but I also have the space to decide on my future, but only if there is an opportunity that comes at the right time in my life," he added.
