Les Bleus have no plans to discuss new deal with coach just yet
The French Football Federation (FFF) have no plans to discuss a contract extension with national coach Laurent Blanc in the near future.
Blanc has led Les Bleus to Euro 2012 and his current deal is set to run until the end of next summer's tournament.
He has helped to turn France's fortunes around after inheriting the reins on the back of a shambolic showing at the 2010 World Cup.
The FFF admit the World Cup winner has done a good job, and they are keen to start planning for the 2014 tournament, but insist no contract talks are planned at present.
Mission
"Prolonging his contact? It is not an issue at the moment," FFF chairman Noel Le Graet told L'Equipe.
"He did an outstanding job securing qualification for Euro 2012, his first mission has been fulfilled.
"But so much can happen in the future. We don't give contracts out without giving a lot of thought to the deal.
"During the next eight months we will have plenty of time to talk. We will be looking to use Euro 2012 as a springboard for the 2014 World Cup."
