Sweden and Finland notch important away wins in Group E
Sweden kept up their pursuit of Euro 2012 qualifying Group E leaders Holland with an emphatic victory in Moldova.
Johan Elmander grabbed a brace for the visitors after Ola Toivonen's opener to put Sweden well in charge.
Viorel Frunza pulled one back for Moldova but Alexander Gerndt scored late on as Erik Hamren's men closed the gap at the top to six points, with a game in hand over the Dutch.
In Group E's other game on Friday, Mikael Forssell netted the only goal as Finland beat San Marino to boost their faint qualification hopes.
Forssell scored the all-important winner four minutes before the half-time break, with the former Chelsea ace collecting Mika Vayrynen's ball and crashing home from just inside the area.
Finland are now six points behind the second-placed Swedes, while San Marino are yet to notch a point in qualification.
