Striker expected to return to Milan with a winning attitude
AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will rediscover his passion for football, according to club manager Massimiliano Allegri.
The Sweden star, 30, still has three years left on his contract, but he recently said he is not enjoying playing and spoke of his desire to retire at the top of his game.
Ibrahimovic returns to training with Milan on Monday because he is suspended for Tuesday's crucial, final Euro 2012 qualifier against The Netherlands.
And Allegri is confident the forward, who has been absent for a week due to the international break, will return with a winning mentality.
"I am sure Ibrahimovic will return with the desire to get back to winning ways," said Allegri. "And to do so we need everyone to be calm and ready to give their all."
Sweden wanted to keep Ibrahimovic with the squad to boost team spirit ahead of the meeting with The Netherlands, but Milan refused their request.
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani dismissed suggestions this would only serve to dishearten Ibrahimovic further.
"I don't understand who benefits from spreading rumours about problems with Ibrahimovic," he said. "Ibra is anything but annoyed that he has to come back to us."
