It's time to finalise the group standings in our video-game version of Euro 2008. Can Croatia get the result they need to make the last eight?

Our console version of Euro 2008 has reached Day 10. Group A came to a close with Portugal and Switzerland qualifying for the quarter-finals. Now we'll find out who they'll face in the knockout stages. These are the results so far in Group B:

Austria 1 Croatia 1

Germany 1 Poland 1

Croatia 1 Germany 2

Austria 1 Poland 1

Monday 16 June

Poland v Croatia, Austria v Germany

Germany know they're safely through regardless of the result in Vienna, while either Poland or Croatia could join them in the quarter-finals if they can win the other game in Klagenfurt.

Both affairs are cagey in the first half, so it's two goalless scorelines at the interval.

However, Croatia forge ahead on 57 minutes when Niko Kranjcar curls a beautiful free-kick into the top corner.

Soon after, Germany go ahead against Austria through a crisp Michael Ballack drive from the edge of the box.

Poland know they have to score to stay in the tournament but are undone again on 76 minutes when Ivica Olic nets from close range after Luka Modric's initial shot is saved by Artur Boruc.

It's goodnight Vienna for Austria, who can't find a way past Jens Lehmann, while Croatia wrap up a fine win over Poland through Mladen Petric's header from a Kranjcar corner six minutes from time.

Germany win Group B and advance to meet Switzerland, while the reward for runners-up Croatia is a clash against Portugal in the last eight.

Final scores: Poland 0 Croatia 3, Austria 0 Germany 1.

Group standings: Germany 7pts, Croatia 4pts, Austria 2pts, Poland 2pts.

So it will be Portugal against Croatia in Basel and Germany versus Switzerland in Vienna. Next on the agenda - it's the final cut in the Group of Death...
