The latest edition of TEAMtalk's Top 10 sees our Insider, Mark Holmes, talk to Thomas Sorensen ahead of Stoke's clash with Aston Villa.

We launched our Insider feature last week with a peek behind the scenes Stoke to find out how the club were preparing for their first ever season of Premier League football.

It doesn't end there, though, as our Insider is going to be sneaking around the Britannia Stadium halls all season to bring you as many exclusives as he can possibly get his hands on.

TEAMtalk has established itself as the number one website to come for Potters news but we want to go one step further and bring you the stuff that no one else can get their hands on. And we want even you non-City fans to keep an eye on the Insider as he's going to be finding out exactly what it's like to be in the Premier League.

We know you love a bit of light-heartedness, though, so we're going to put our top 10 questions to every Potters star throughout the season to see what dirt they're prepared to dish on themselves and their team-mates.

Last week saw Liam Lawrence reveal his love for Manchester United, hit out at Steve Simonsen's dress sense and explain why he'd never get in a fight with the "animal" that is Ricardo Fuller.

With Aston Villa the opponents for Stoke this week we thought there was no better player to get a minute with than former Villans stopper Thomas Sorensen.

The 32-year-old only made the move from Villa Park last month, making his City debut in the 3-1 defeat at Bolton on Saturday. He has penned a three-year deal at the club and is confident he can help his new club stay in the Premier League this season.

Sorensen started his career in his native Denmark with Odense BK, but never actually made an appearance for his boyhood heroes as loan spells with Vejle and then Svendborg led to a £150,000 move to Peter Reid's Sunderland.

He kept a club-record 29 clean sheets in his first season on Wearside as Reid led the club to the Premier League. Sorensen played a big part in the Black Cats' initial success in the top flight - they finished seventh in both of their first two seasons - but could not prevent their relegation in 2003.

The stopper's impressive performances ensured he did not have to drop a division, though, as he made the £2million to Villa after 171 appearances for the Wearsiders.

Sorensen went on to make 139 appearances for the Villans but Scott Carson's arrival on loan led to him losing his number one jersey and, after a final season of no appearances, he made the move to Stoke.

He is still Denmark's number one and has made 72 appearances in total for the national side, taking over from the legendary Peter Schmeichel. He went on to star at the 2002 World Cup and was in goal in a 3-0 group stages defeat to England.

Here are his answers to TEAMtalk's Top Ten:

What club did you support growing up? Odense.

What has been the highlight of your career so far? Definitely representing Denmark at the World Cup. That was a proud moment.

Who is the best player in the world today in your position? I think Iker Casillas.

Which team do you want to beat more than any other this season? It would be nice to beat Aston Villa. I think it's a great club but it would be nice to prove that I made the right decision to come here.

What would you rather do, save a penalty to keep us up, or one to win us the FA Cup? I think I'd go for one to keep us up because that's what the club needs, that's where the most money lies.

Which band, past or present, would you most liked to have been in? I'd like to have been a member of the E Street Band playing with Bruce Springsteen.

What's the best prank you've ever had played on you by a team-mate? Someone at Sunderland let the air out of my car tyres so I couldn't get home after a game. So I was stuck there in the middle of a night!

Which of your team-mates is the worst dressed? I've not been here long but I have to say Steve Simonsen.

And the worst trainer? Again I haven't been here long but everyone seems to be going at it so I'll reserve judgement for now.

And finally, which of your team-mates would you least like to get into a fight with? One of the big guys...I think Parky (Jon Parkin), he's evil!

What do you think of Sorensen's answers? That's two votes for Simonsen as the worst dressed, is he going to run away with it? And it's one each for Ricardo Fuller and Jon Parkin in the hardest stakes - who would you back in a fight? We want your feedback so use our story comment facility to let us know what you think.
