Sunderland will be without Jordan Henderson, Kieran Richardson, Anton Ferdinand and John Mensah for Tuesday's long trip to Portsmouth.

Henderson will be sidelined for a minimum of four weeks with an ankle problem.

Bruce will also be without Mensah (hamstring), Richardson (calf) and Ferdinand (ankle) at Fratton Park as the Black Cats attempt to end a run of 11 league games without a win.
