Stockport County boss Gary Ablett looks certain to be without Carl Baker and Nicholas Bignall for the visit of Exeter City on Saturday.
Attacking midfielder Baker has been suffering with a virus since last weekend and on-loan Reading striker Bignall is hampered by a hamstring injury.
Bignall returned to his parent club for a scan earlier in the week which revealed the problem and he will miss this weekend's clash and Tuesday's trip to Colchester.
To compound Ablett's problems, Liam Bridcutt and Oli Johnson are also feeling unwell although the Hatters chief is hopeful both will be fit to face the Grecians.
County have lost their last four League One outings but defender Johnny Mullins, who missed last weekend's defeat at Walsall, is back in training and will return.
