TEAMtalk looks at how the players performed as Chelsea beat Bayern Munich on penalties to lift the Champions League trophy on Saturday night.
PETR CECH: Did well to keep Bayern at bay before poor positioning meant he failed to keep out Thomas Muller's opening goal. Redeemed himself by saving Arjen Robben's penalty in extra time and Ivica Olic's strike in the shootout, as well as getting a touch on Bastian Schweinsteiger's effort. 8.
JOSE BOSINGWA: A fairly solid game but was too often caught out by Robben. 6.
DAVID LUIZ: Did just enough to prevent Mario Gomez from scoring the opening goal and made some key challenges late in the game. Scored in the penalty shootout. 7.
GARY CAHILL: Blocked Schweinsteiger's early strike, was keen to get forward and made a crucial clearance in combination with Luiz in extra time as Philip Lahm threatened the Chelsea goal. 7.
ASHLEY COLE: Struggled to deal with the strong running of Robben in the opening phases but grew into the game to make crucial blocks on the Dutch striker and Franck Ribery. Missed Muller at the far post for Bayern's goal but scored in the shootout. 7.
SALOMON KALOU: Went close with a fine shot just before half time and kept the pressure on Toni Kroos before being taken off for Fernando Torres. 6.
JOHN OBI MIKEL: Played deep to help out Chelsea's struggling defence and did little in attack. 6.
FRANK LAMPARD: Made a dangerous back pass which put the Chelsea defence under undue pressure early on but calmed things in midfield as the game progressed. Scored a penalty in the shootout. 7.
RYAN BERTRAND: A solid enough performance on his Champions League debut before has was replaced by Florent Malouda in the 72nd minute. 7.
JUAN MATA: Creative in midfield when given some space but struggled to feed the vital ball to Didier Drogba. Missed Chelsea's first penalty in the shootout. 6.
DIDIER DROGBA: Scored the crucial goal for Chelsea to draw them level with two minutes of regular time remaining before almost undoing his good work by conceding a penalty in extra time, which Cech then saved. Scored the winning penalty in the shootout. 8.
FLORENT MALOUDA: Helped to shore up the Chelsea defence after he replaced Bertrand. 6.
FERNANDO TORRES: Made some good breaks into the box and was unlucky not to be given a penalty early into extra time. 6.
MANUEL NEUER: Had little to do for most of the game. Made a simple save from Kalou's shot but was unable to deny Drogba's powerful header. Saved Mata's penalty and scored one of his own in the shootout. 7.
PHILIP LAHM: Solid at the back and added an extra depth to Bayern's attack with regular bursts upfield. Soaked up the pressure to score the opening penalty in the shootout. 7.
JEROME BOATENG: Tangled with Drogba and Torres on numerous occasions and did well to keep the Blues strikers under wraps. 6.
ANATOLIY TYMOSCHUK: A solid if slightly quiet game from the Bayern midfielder. 6.
DIEGO CONTENTO: Committed in tackles and linked up well with Ribery in midfield. 7.
BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER: Earned a yellow card for deliberate handball in second minute and made a couple of off-target shots before missing the crucial penalty in the shootout. 5.
TONI KROOS: Controlled the midfield well and created several chances for Robben. 7.
ARJEN ROBBEN: Dangerous on the counter attack, a constant threat in the box and dominated in midfield alongside Kroos but missed an extra-time penalty. 8.
THOMAS MULLER: Fired Ribery's cross wide in the first half and did the same after the break before he scored the opening goal in the 83rd minute. 6.
FRANCK RIBERY: A constant threat to Chelsea's defence with penetrating runs into the box. Had a goal narrowly ruled out for offside in the second half. Substituted in extra time after picking up an injury when Drogba felled him for the penalty. 7.
MARIO GOMEZ: Missed three great scoring chances in the first half which cut have put the game well beyond Chelsea's reach. 5.
DANIEL VAN BUYTEN: Missed the chance to give Bayern the lead in the second period of extra time after failing to get onto the end of Ivica Olic's cross. 5.
IVICA OLIC: Had a tough job to match the excellent Ribery but should have gone for a shot instead of laying the ball off to Van Buyten. Missed in the penalty shootout. 4.
