£35m United, Arsenal, Liverpool target admits to being ‘not happy’

Manchester United target Lucas Moura has not held back over his current feelings at Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and United have all been linked with a swoop for the unhappy £35million-rated player recently, who has claimed he has offers on the table.

The Brazilian winger has not made a start for the Ligue 1 club this season and he was an unused sub in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Caen.

And afterwards he spoke about his dire situation at the French league leaders.

“It’s a brutal blow. I’m gutted that I’m no longer playing, to no longer be able to express myself as I was doing before,” Moura told L’Equipe.

“I’m not happy. I thought I’d built something solid with this club, but that’s clearly not the case.”

The 25-year-old is under contract until June 2019 and he seems destined to leave before his deal expires.

“Is there a chance that I stay this winter? I do not think so,” Lucas said earlier this month. “With what the coach has said, it looks like this is the end of my Paris story.

“I have offers but I cannot talk about them. I like English football very much, it is truly one of the best leagues in the world.”

Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on bringing Moura to Old Trafford, according to the player’s agent in 2016.

Wagner Ribeiro confirmed that the Portuguese boss attempted to sign Moura, while he was at Real Madrid.

“Who called Lucas Moura there [to Real Madrid]?” Ribeiro told television program Bola da Vez.

“It wasn’t Florentino Perez who wanted Lucas Moura, it was Mourinho. Mourinho was and is passionate about Lucas Moura. So much so that now at Manchester he wants Lucas as well.”

Moura was reportedly close to joining the Red Devils in 2012, but snubbed the move in favour of a switch to the French capital, something he revealed he does not regret.

“It’s the most beautiful place in the world,” he told the Telegraph at the time. “When I first arrived in Paris I was [at the Eiffel Tower] all the time. I would go there to reflect, to think. I was drawn to it.

“I was very close to joining Manchester United. It nearly happened but, at the last minute, Leonardo (then PSG director of football) called me and spoke to me and my parents.”
