Jurgen Klopp: Knows his side will be up against it at Bayern

Manager Jurgen Klopp has played down Borussia Dortmund's winning streak against Saturday's opponents Bayern Munich.

Dortmund head to Munich on Saturday on a five-game winning streak against the Bavarians in league and cup matches, but coach Jurgen Klopp has admitted that the situation is different now.

Two doubles in the past two Bundesliga seasons and victory in the final of the DFB-Pokal in May have given Dortmund the upper hand in recent years, but a lot has changed since that cup final six months ago.

"They are more hungry, more determined," said Klopp. "They always had the quality, in fact this season they have a bit more.

"Bayern Munich are the toughest opponents you can have in the Bundesliga so it's not just a big challenge, but a difficult one.

"Bayern are favourites. They have a home game, they are 11 points ahead of us, but it's our duty to go there and to ensure that it will not be so easy for them.

Bayern have a 10-point lead over nearest challengers Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the Bundesliga, while champions Dortmund are in third after only managing a 1-1 draw at home to struggling Fortuna Dusseldorf last time out.

"We have missed the chance to move four points clear of Eintracht Frankfurt and Schalke and they can overtake us if we lose in Munich," said former Bayern defender Mats Hummels.

"Therefore, it's important that we pick up points in Munich."

The biggest Bundesliga game of the season so far will be shown live in 203 countries and Bayern captain Philipp Lahm is raring to go.

"It is the biggest game in the Bundesliga," he told Munich's Tz newspaper.

"Recent years have shown that and the games in the Champions League this year have proven it.

"Dortmund played a great group stage and, like us, they are already in the knockout stage, so that certainly makes it a top match."
