David Beckham is an 'amazing player' who would have a huge impact at Monaco if he were to join the club, according to Claudio Ranieri.
Beckham has confirmed his intention to move on for one final challenge following his final game for Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS final on Saturday night.
He has a number of options to consider and Monaco chief executive Tor-Kristian Karlsen has confirmed has confirmed an interest in bringing him to France.
Monaco head coach Ranieri has now insisted he too would welcome Beckham, highlighting just what the midfielder could do for the club's young players as they seek promotion from Ligue 2.
"He is an amazing player, intelligent, with a very good character," said Ranieri.
"He is also a champion. I want to win, and my team too. The more champions we have, the bigger the chances to win are.
"Could you imagine what Beckham could do to a young player like Nampalys Mendy, what he could bring to him?"
