Hoffenheim have sacked Markus Babbel as their coach after a run of four successive Bundesliga defeats.
The 40-year-old former Liverpool and Blackburn defender was shown the door following Sunday's 4-1 home loss to Werder Bremen.
Hoffenheim are now 16th in the 18-team league with only 12 points from their 15 matches so far this season.
The club's U23 coach Frank Kramer will take over from Babbel on a temporary basis.
Babbel, who made 51 appearances for Germany between 1995 and 2000, had only been in charge of Hoffenheim for less than 10 months after previously guiding Hertha Berlin to promotion.
