Mathieu Valbuena has called on Marseille to remain positive as they seek an immediate response in their double-header against PSG.
OM were beaten 2-0 in Ligue 1 on Sunday, leaving them eight points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, but an impressive performance gave them hope ahead of Wednesday's Coupe de France last-16 tie.
PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted after the game: "They put us under pressure. We defended deep but it was not necessarily through choice."
And Valbuena told om.net: "We will strengthen our ties, the group will remain united. We will look at what worked and what didn't and make the best of that.
"The chance for payback comes around quickly. We must take the positives and quickly pick our heads up again."
Lorient and Brest meet in another all top-flight tie, while Wednesday's other matches see Bordeaux and Nancy take on fourth- and fifth-tier opposition respectively.
Bordeaux have doubts over strike pair David Bellion and Cheick Diabate for their clash with Raon-L'Etape while Nancy, for whom the cup has proved a welcome distraction from a season propping up Ligue 1, take on AS Minguettes.
The round gets under way tomorrow with three ties featuring five Ligue 1 clubs.
Lille make the trip to St Etienne on a three-match winning run and Dimitri Payet, who scored twice in Saturday's 3-1 victory over Ajaccio, is desperate to prolong that sequence.
"We have an important match on Wednesday at St Etienne, then another on Sunday against Bordeaux (in the league)," he told the club's official website.
"We do not have time to enjoy it, we must quickly prepare for these next games, but that is a few games in succession that we have put together good performances."
Sochaux take on fellow strugglers Troyes while Evian, three points ahead of Troyes but also in the relegation zone, host Le Havre of Ligue 2.
Ligue 2 Lens take on third-tier Epinal on Thursday.
