AC Milan are preparing a big offer for Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri, according to the latest reports.

Despite a run of good results under Gennaro Gattuso, the Rossoneri seem to still be looking for another option for next season.

According to the latest reports from Campania-based newspaper Corriere del Mezzogiorno, the Italian giants are eyeing Napoli coach Rodrigo Sarri at the end of the season. Reports also suggest they would be willing to offer Sarri around €3.6million/yr.

It is also worth noting that Milan has wanted the Italian coach for quite sometime: he was even supposed to replace Fillipo Inzaghi in 2015, but both parties failed to reach an agreement.

However, despite a 2-0 defeat at San Siro in the round of 16 of the Europa League against Arsenal, Gattuso’s team has shown great quality in the last two months and the way this season ends for them will probably determine the management’s decision on his future.

Agent Federico Pastorello, who is good friends with Antonio Conte, recently admitted Arsenal are in for Sarri.

“Arsenal are mainly being talked about for him,” he said. “From experience, I’ve learned that in the market, the most concrete negotiations take place in silence.”
